TUBS OF POPCORN: I give “Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Bake Shop” and “Strawberry Shortcake: Sweet Sunshine Adventure” five tubs of popcorn out of five. Once again Strawberry Shortcake along with the gang and Berry-kins bring a powerful story of friendship and loyalty for fans. The DVD is fun, entertaining, funny and yes, absolutely adorable.

The animation is bright, crisp and pretty darn cool. My granddaughter watches with wide eyed at the screen simply because the animation is so well done. The characters do seem so approachable and relatable which, in my humble opinion, is why Strawberry Shortcake has been so hugely successful.

The stories are based on working together, problem solving, being creative, furry friendships and all the things children want to know more about. Strawberry Shortcake was created by Muriel Fahrion, an illustrator for American Greetings in 1997. From that moment on the ideas went as far as their imaginations would let them.

From toys to dolls, bedding, television, DVD’s, CD’s video games and even full length features, Strawberry Shortcake continues to be an amazing and iconic part of a huge fan base that includes adult as well as children.

The best part of both of these DVD’s, besides the awesome iconic gang, is Berry Fun Printable Recipes, Printable Coloring Pages, ‘Anything is Possible’ music video as well as Meet Strawberry Shortcake & Friends extra features.

In the end — these are Very Berry Pals!
