Released on DVD from Flatiron Film Company comes one of the most widely watched animated series launched in 1997 with DIGIMON.

This series tells the story of Tai, Matt, Sora, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, T.K. Kari and their Digimon, short for Digital Monsters, which are creatures born of Digi-Eggs. Once out they can change their appearance and obtain powers.

In DIGIMON: Volume II the group will learn who the eighth DigiDestined child is. While waiting a new villain, Myotismon, wants to capture the eighth child from the real world. But when the group believes it has accomplished their mission, they discover there is more to come between the Digital World and the Real World.

In DIGIMON: The Official Second Season as peace is brought to the digital world after four years, they return to find a new villain – Digimon Emperor. The only way to stop this is for the crew to recruit a few new defenders. T.K. and Kari are now joined by Davis, Yolei, Cody and Ken to be in the DigiDestined team.

The dark forces come in quickly as the group must do whatever it takes to save Digital World and free all the Digital Monsters.

FINAL WORD: The first person I called when I received the screeners was my son, who happens to be 30 to ask him if he remembered this series. He was thrilled to hear that I was reviewing them since this was one of his favorites after school series to watch.

That being said both of these sets are amazing! DIGIMON the complete second season has over 50 never before released episodes. What is even more amazing about this collection is the full color 36-page character guidebook and a gallery that has more than 40 villain sketches.

DIGIMON ADVENTURE: Volume II has eighteen episodes and follows the season one arc.

TUBS OF POPCORN: I give DIGIMON four tubs of popcorn out of five. This series is highly addictive and a thrill to be able to watch commercial free and all the way through. This is definitely a set worth giving or owning for yourself. If you’re still a fan of cartoon Saturdays then this set will most certainly bring back memories or start new ones!

Cinedigm partners with iTunes, Netflix, Amazon, Google, Hulu, Vudu, Xbox, and Playstation to bring audiences global works. The company has over 5,000 titles that include independent films, documentaries and festival picks from Sundance and Tribeca.

In the end – Digimon and crew to save the world!
