I grew up in Memphis, Tenn., and was very proud when the city was rewarded an NBA team. I was one of their first female freelance writers and even had some articles published in their game day magazine.

Some of my favorite interviews at the time were with Pau Gasol and Shane Battier; Battier now has two rings with the Miami Heat. So when the Memphis Grizzlies went deep into the playoffs recently, I was very happy and watched the games with great enthusiasm! My sister even sent me a really cute “blinged” out tie shirt that I wore in support of the team.

Well we all know now that the Grizzlies lost to the Spurs but that didn’t stop me from wearing my new shirt! I received so many compliments on it that I asked my sister where she bought the shirt and was delighted to learn that one of her co-workers daughter was the designer of the shirts. So of course I asked my sister to forward me her contact info and now I’m working with her to create some amazing shirts for me too!

Fashionista-Tshirts

I’ve always wanted to create a line of tie shirts as I indicated in March where I asked everyone to stay tuned to Veteran Fashionista merchandise, well that time has arrived! But I need your assistance, please tell me which tie shirt you like for your chance to win one for yourself! The shirt(s) will come in multiple colors, white, black and camouflage green. Please LIKE me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter for your chance to win your shirt and be the first of your girlfriends to be the “official” Veteran Fashionista.

Until next time my Veteran Fashionistas, as always, stay fashionable!
