Being released on DVD June 5, 2012 from Hasbro and Shout! Factory comes action, heroism and team work with “GI Joe: Renegades”.

The GI Joes are specialist who are highly trained to stop COBRA from taking over the world. In collaboration with Hasbro, Shout! Factory brings the 13 episodes DVD to fans and collectors.

The GI Joe team is sent on a mission to spy on Cobra Industries, but when something goes wrong the Joe’s must run. The team consisting of Duke, Scarlett, Roadblock, Tunnel Rat, Ripcord, Breaker and Snake Eyes must use their training to prove their innocence.

If that isn’t enough, COBRA isn’t there only problem as a new military group called the Falcons is on the rise.

FINAL WORD: This DVD is filled with action, animation and a storyline that has been brought to the big screen! Its still fantastic to see GI Joe as it was brought to the world’s attention – through fantastic animation!

With the voices of Charlie Alder (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Jason Marsden (Batman: The Brave and the Bold), Kevin Michael Richardson (Batman), and Johnny Messner (Tears of the Sun).

Two faces that are easily recognized in voice are that of Clancy Brown (Shawshank Redemption) and the “Six Million Dollar Man” himself, Lee Majors.

HASBRO is a household name and over the past few years has expanded from toys, games, television, video games and now into such films as “Transformers” and “GI Joe”. More names you might recognize are Nerf, Playschool and My Little Pony. Learn more at

TUBS OF POPCORN: I give “GI Joe: Renegades” three and a half tubs of popcorn out of five. This really great for several reasons: 1) It reminds me of my younger days watching animation with my brother and then reenacting it in our backyard, 2) It reminds me of my son as a kid, he loved watching anything animated and now 29 can still be found sitting with me watching this DVD set and having the time of his life.

Shout! Factor has brought something fabulous with “GI Joe: Renegades” to DVD but they also bring many classics and contemporary/cult television series along with documentary, animation and sports programs. Check out more at!

In the end – they were branded renegades for a crime they didn’t commit!
