The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s National Chamber Foundation and Hero2Hired (H2H) will host “Hiring Our Heroes — Camp Pendleton,” a hiring fair for veterans and military spouses, at the Pacific Views Event Center, Bldg. 202850 San Jacinto Road, Camp Pendleton from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20.

Interested job seekers should register for free at hoh.greatjob.net. Walk-in job seekers are allowed (veterans must provide military ID).

More than 70 employers are expected to participate with jobs available for veterans and military spouses of all ranks and levels of experience. Companies range from America’s biggest employers to small companies from across the state.

Since its launch in March 2011, Hiring Our Heroes has held more than 260 hiring fairs nationwide, helping more than 10,400 veterans and military spouses find employment. Thursday’s event is also part of Hiring 500,000 Heroes, a national campaign announced by the U.S. Chamber, National Chamber Foundation, and Capital One, to engage the business community in committing to hire 500,000 veterans and military spouses by the end of 2014.

This hiring event is being conducted in partnership with the California Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), the State of California Employment Development Department, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, The American Legion, the Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment & Training Service (DOL VETS), the California National Guard, Camp Pendleton MCCS, and the Pacific Views Event Center.

The National Chamber Foundation (NCF), a non-profit affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is dedicated to identifying and fostering public debate on emerging critical issues. They provide business and government leaders with insight and resources to address tomorrow’s challenges.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.
