It’s “All On The Line”

When I went to college, my first major was fashion merchandising, but I didn’t know how to draw or sketch. And back then there was no such thing as Photoshop, so I guess I didn’t want to actually design the clothes, but more like coordinate the clothes matching outfits with the appropriate shoes, accessories, etc. — what’s now commonly called a “stylist.”

So I changed my major to communications, but never lost my love of fashion or my eye in the coordination of fashion. I was always that “go to” person in my family, on my job, or in my clique that was always asked, “Does this go with that?” or “What about the color?” “Is this too long? Too short?” etc. Now due to fashion shows such as “Project Runway,” “The Fashion Show,” “All On The Line,” “Mad Fashion,” “Fashion Hunters,” “Fashion Police” and networks like Style, E!, Sundance Channel, Bravo and WE, fashion programming has become a major segment on cable networks across the country 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This past summer I had the awesome pleasure of appearing in an episode of, “All On The Line” via the Sundance, Season 2. (That’s me and Joe Zee pictured here.) The show features emerging or established designers who receive critical guidance from the show’s host, Joe Zee, Creative Director of Elle Magazine, to help them sell their designs to retailers. The episode features me and my client Qristyl Frazier, of Qristyl Frazier Designs, Joe Zee, Keith Pollock, Director of Elle.com and celebrity designer Rachel Roy. I am prominently featured throughout the episode and you can see first-hand how vested I am in assisting and guiding my clients on their path to success. With Joe’s help, Qristyl was able to put together a clothing line that will be featured at select Lane Bryant stores in January 2012, giving her career a remarkable leap forward.

Even though the experience was tremendous fun, I now have a new found respect for reality television participants because it was also a whole lot of work! Each episode required hours of filming and even more hours of editing to create a compelling and interesting episode. We are hoping that the show will be picked up for a third season and rest assured Lauderdale Media’s clients will have an opportunity to be featured again. So STAY TUNED for news on that as well as casting news on various other reality shows and opportunities. The episode in which I’ll be featured originally aired Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 on the Sundance Channel. But don’t worry if you missed it because they run the episodes quite a bit and you can also download it via Netflix or iTunes.
