The cosmetics industry has named two lovely new celebrity spokeswomen: Lancôme has tapped a best supporting actress winner Lupita Nyongo’ as their new spokesperson; she joins the ranks of Kate Winslet and Julia Roberts as an ambassador for the French beauty house.
Ads featuring the “12 Years a Slave” star will begin popping up in September.
“I am truly honored to join the Maison Lancôme, a brand with such a prestigious history that I have always loved. I am particularly proud to represent its unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman’s freedom to be herself,” Nyong’o said in a statement.
Throughout awards season, Nyong’o dazzled fashion watchers with her impeccable fashion sense, which ranged from Chanel to Gucci to that red Ralph Lauren cape dress.
Lupita makes her first post-Oscars appearance in Hollywood at the April 12 GLAAD Media Awards, I’m sure her stylist will have her looking fabulous as usual?
L’Oreal Paris has chosen the newly married and equally lovely actress Zoe Salanda. She will join the ranks of other women like Julianne Moore and Blake Lively as the new international spokesmodel for L’Oreal Paris. As the face of the cosmetics brand, she will appear in multimedia advertisements.

This isn’t the only gig we’ll see Saldana appearing in this year. She’s slated to do a sequel to the hit blockbuster “Avatar” and Saldana will appear as the lead in the NBC adaptation of “Rosemary’s Baby.”

Zoe Saldana is always stepping out in style, so we can’t wait to see how radiant she’ll look in her upcoming L’Oreal ads!

What’s new in fashion?

Nicki Minaj has launched her first range of swimwear for her Kmart clothing line. The collection of one-piece bikinis jives well with her outgoing personality, featuring sexy cutouts that bring to mind some of her sexiest music video looks.

The swimsuits retail at $36 and come in summer-appropriate shades of orange, yellow and red. You can shop Nicki’s latest looks at Kmart stores and shopyourway.com.

Model/actress Joy Bryant, featured in the NBC show The Parenthood, has joined the list of celebrities entering the fashion game, her brand is almost ready to hit stores. Naomi Campbell, is following suit as well and also has a line coming out soon. For some reason I can get behind her designer instincts because nobody can flaunt down the runway like her!

Kanye West announces a shoe collaboration with Adidas, Adam Levin (The Voice, Maroon 5) for Kmart and Kate Moss for Topshop.
