Opening in theatres this Friday from directors Eric Parnell, Tom McGrath and Conrad Vernon with Dreamworks Animation and “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted”.

This film tells the story of Alex the lion (Ben Stiller), Marty the zebra (Chris Rock), Gloria the hippo (Jada Pinkett Smith) and Melman the giraffe (David Schwimmer). This family of animals is still trying to get back to there beloved New York City.

The problem is they need to find the penguins that have run off to Monte Carlo. After an attempt to rescue their tuxedo friends the animal control headed by Captain Chantel DuBois (Frances McDormand) is not after them.

They only place this group can hide is – well – in a circus! There they come into contact with characters even nuttier than they are but help the gang.

FINAL WORD: Stiller as Alex is definitely still the lion in charge. He keeps everyone grounded while still having his usual headaches. Rock as Marty is still goofy as ever and one of the kids favorite characters. Smith as Gloria always packs a punch and has a motherly instinct for her crew. Schwimmer as Melman is still as loveable as ever!

The introduction of Vitaly played by Bryan Cranston is awesome! Martin Short as Stephano is another winning addition to the cast. Jessica Chastain joins in playing Gia.

There is no denying that my favorites are and always will be Julien voiced by Sasha Baron Cohen and Maurice voiced by Cedric the Entertainer. There is something odd, fascinating and loveable about Julien that I can’t get enough of!

Of course, it must be said that McDormand as the Captain who is crazed with catching the group is very, very funny! Her accent might not always be good but that just adds more fun and laughs.

TUBS OF POPCORN: I give “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted” three tubs of popcorn out of five. Although this is a continuation and the third installment it still has fun and energy. I could, once again, do without the 3D but the kids enjoyed it and the parents go in on some of the jokes.

In the end – everything they do is Madagascar style!
