Coming to DVD from Shout! Factory and Saban Brands comes the awesome group of crime fighters with a new addition with NINJA TURTLES: The Next Mutation.

Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo are the crime-fighting Ninja Turtles who live in the sewers of New York City. Living also with Master Splinter, they continue to fight Shredder and his evil army.

That is until Master Splinter is kidnapped and the sudden appearance of Venus De Milo, a girl Ninja Turtle. Surprised that there is another such as themselves, the fab four take her in. Venus has the Shinobi ability needed to save Master Splinter.

Now, they have a new evil to face – the Dragon Lord with his army of The Rank!

FINAL WORD: It’s so much fun to revisit the Ninja Turtles. This live-action series only lasted a year but that doesn’t make it any less fun to watch. The storyline is fast paced and yet still filled with the humor the Ninja Turtles are known for.

This DVD includes the first seven fun filled episodes. From the Dragon Lord to the silly creature Wick, there isn’t anything here not to enjoy – especially for fans of the original series that began in the early 1980’s. Yes, it’s been that long since the world was introduced to four of the most recognizable turtles with historical names.

SHOUT! Factory is an amazing company that preserves and revitalizes the very best of pop culture. This extends to feature films, classics, animation, television series and music and do it with awesome packaging that viewers have come to love. For more of what they have to offer go to

Saban Brands was formed in 2010 and applies a strategic transmedia management approach to enhancing brands for promotion.

TUBS OF POPCORN: I give NINJA TURTLES: The Next Mutation three tubs of popcorn out of five. It is an interesting twist to adding a gal-turtle to the mix. At the same time its awesome to see the Ninja Turtle story brought back to its non-animated form looking as it did when my own kids started watching the show!

The DVD includes the 5-part episode of EAST MEETS WEST along with The Staff of Bu-ki, Silver and Gold. Coming in at 147 minutes these seven episodes will not disappoint. There is action, adventure and everything about the Ninja Turtles that has made them iconic!

In the end – east meets west!
