On Bluray from HBO Home Entertainment is the Cinemax hit television show that is going out with a bang — and I mean BANG with “Strike Back: The Final Season.”

Sgt. Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) and Sgt. Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) return with Section 20 led by Lt. Col. Philip Locke (Robson Green). Along with Sgt. Julia Richmond (Michelle Lukes) are moving on to their next mission when Ambassador Robert Foster’s daughter Chloe is kidnapped. Believing that his friend Locke can save rescue her, the team puts together a plan and sets out to go into the streets of Bangkok.

When the attempt fails, the only way to get her back is for the Ambassador to do the unthinkable that shocks the world and leaves wife Mei (Michelle Yeoh) to deal with the fall out. Scott also has a little unfinished business when he receives a phone call telling him that son Finn (Christian Antidormi) has hopped a plane and will be in Bangkok in a matter of hours.

Locke is suspicious of what is going on with Ambassador Foster and arrives at Mei’s home to confront her when all Hades breaks loose. Managing to get away, Mei meets with long-time love Kwon (Will Yun Lee) and an even sinister plan is in the making. Mei has made is clear that she isn’t going to be stopped with her plan that is meant to get the world’s attention.

When Scott is put in a position to protect Finn, he realizes his son is in more danger than he could ever have imagined. He must rely on Stonebridge and Locke to continue gathering more intel and follow the trail. When the trail leads Locke to a man named Oppenheimer — the past has finally caught up as some things are unforgiveable.

There is only one chance to finally stop the bad guys from doing bad things — and it’s about to get crazy!

First, let’s talk hunks! Stapleton as Scott is still smokin’ hot with eyes that aren’t playing. This isn’t the first time he has caused hearts to go all a flutter having played the role of Themistocles in “300: Rise of an Empire” and currently in the hit NBC television series “Blindspot.” I have nothing bad to say about a man who can act and isn’t hard on the eyes. As Scott, Stapleton is a character not to be trifled with who has no problem poppin someone who is trying to hurt him or anyone in his group. He is also the character who has women giving him the ‘come hither’ eyes and who is he to turn away a lady right? All of this together makes the role of Scott a little bit of something for everyone and I had a great time watching.

Winchester as Stonebridge is the strong semi-silent type who pretty much speaks when it’s necessary and what he says — he means. Loyal to Locke and his friendship to Scott make him equally attractive. I mean are you kidding — the accent is a bonus! Working with the group he makes it very clear that being a soldier is not only important but honorable in every way. He wants to protect the innocent and that includes his team. Not new to successful television shows, he also played Colonel Shaw in the television mini-series “24: Live Another Day” and “The Player” as Alex Kane. Playing this strong lead alongside Stapleton I have to say these two are awesome together.

Green as Locke leads his group into the fray but doesn’t hesitate to join that. That’s the sign of a great leader and Green gives it his all. I enjoy his performance in the series “Grantchester” and “Mount Pleasant.” Lukes as Sgt. Richmond is a strong female role that is full of fire, dedication and definitely not afraid to get her hands dirty in a fight.

Yeoh as Mei is such a powerful role. It is rare to see such a detailed and in-depth female villain and Yeoh brings so very much to this role. Yeoh gives Mei such intensity and focus that every time they group gets close to her, she slips through the cracks and doesn’t hesitate to give them a look before she poofs! I enjoy Yeoh’s performances and have followed her career for years. From “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” to “Memoirs of a Geisha” and another successful series “Marco Polo,” Yeoh continues to bring her A-game to every character she plays. She is strong, powerful, evil, sweet, endearing, heart wrenching, and an ass-kicker yet also brings something new to

ever character she creates. LOVED her in this role!

Lee as Kwon is also another that I have followed through his roles in “Four Assassins,” “True Blood” and “Hawaii Five-0.” Once again another actor who has gone from action, adventure, drama and martial arts from both big screen as well as small. In this role he is a dedicated man but his dedication may be to something other than Mei’s plans.

HBO Home Entertainment brings ground breaking programs in Bluray, DVD and Digital HD for the entire world to enjoy. “Game of Thrones” now joins those of us with media libraries that also include “The Sopranos,” “Girls,” “The Wire,” “Entourage,” “Band of Brothers” and “True Blood.” HBO Home Entertainment can be found in more than 70 territories around the world and continue to expand!

TUBS OF POPCORN: I give “Strike Back: The Final Season” four tubs of popcorn out of five. This is like a combination of two James Bonds who just happen to be soldiers and there is certainly nothing wrong with that. I think the Bond thing came into my head when I saw them both in tuxes during one episode and thought they both looked smokin’. Yes, I’ve used that term twice but if it fits then it fits. There is plenty of action and drama in every episode and I have to say it was awesome to have the final season to watch because I’m not sure I could have waited week after week!

There is something for everyone in this final series with a story that is totally detailed in every way which lends to the telling. The writers truly thought out of the box on this one as the action jumped from one place to another and one villain to another yet it all intertwined. The cast put together for “Strike Back” works in every way. The friendship between Scott and Stonebridge has to be believed in order for this to work. The same is true for the loyalty Stonebridge has towards Locke. These three actors make it work in every way giving the series a thumbs up from me.

I think fans will be happy with how the story comes to it’s final cross roads!

The Bluray includes the bonus features of four Production Recon Featurettes: Go on Location and Behind the Scenes of “STRIKE BACK” Season Four, six “How to Strike Back” Featurettes: Sullivan Stapleton and Philip Winchester reminisce and give fans an insider’s scoop on filming the action packed and memorable scenes from the season. The Bluray includes Digital HD Ultraviolet so you can watch it anywhere!

In the end — they won’t go quietly!
