This week from SHOUT! Factory and Saban Brands is the battle to save Earth with “Power Rangers Ninja Storm: The Complete Series” on DVD.

On the shores of Blue Bay Harbor life is normal and idyllic for the citizens who reside there. Three teens Shane (Pua Magasiva), Tori (Sally Martin) and Dustin (Glenn McMillian) are not exactly average as they attend the secret Wind Ninja Academy. The one thing that seems normal for these teens is their ability to be lectured by adults, well, in adult in particular — their Sensei Kanoi Watanabe (Grant McFarland).

In an instant that all changes as a banished ninja master attacks the school and takes all the students. Lothor (Grant McFarland) takes his revenge on the Sensei transforming him into an animal. Shane, Tori and Dustin retreat into the underground where they are given the morphine powers and now Shane is the Red Wind Ranger, Tori is the Blue Wind Ranger and Dustin is the Yellow Wind Ranger.

As appointed protectors of Blue Bay Harbor the Rangers learn their powers are indeed special but there are others Rangers who also want the Sensei — Hunter the Crimson Thunder Ranger and Blake the Navy Thunder Ranger. Believing a lie told to them by Lothor, there comes a moment where the two Ranger sides must decide how they can stop the evil villain!

With the help of Sensei’s son Cam (Jason Chan) and the Scroll of Time — they might have a chance to return the Wind Ninja Academy and Blue Bay Harbor back to the home they love.

Once again this is a trip down memory lane for me and I have to say I still enjoy watching each episode. What the Power Rangers has managed to do successfully over the years is bring friendship, dedication, and courage into adversity. Through entertainment kids learn that working together to solve problems is important and that although it may not always be easy, it is determination that wins the day.

SHOUT! Factory brings the best to fans offering up feature films, classic television series, animation and specials. For more of what they have to offer go to The DVD includes all 38 episodes coming in at 12.5 hours of storytelling.

Debuting in 1993, Saban’s iconic live-action pop culture series, Power Rangers has become the most watched children’s television program in North America. Viewed in more than sixty countries and translated into numerous languages, it still remains a mainstay in children’s programming.

For over 20 years, the highly entertaining saga and fan favorite characters from Power Rangers have captivated children and adults with legions of fans worldwide. You don’t believe that — visit any Comic-Con on the planet to see both adults and children squeal in delight at the chance to be photographed with their favorite Ranger!

This is definitely a DVD that calls for gathering up lovers of the show and introducing the Power Rangers to someone who might not know of them. Of course that would mainly be kids because there isn’t an adult on the planet (or grandparent for that matter) who doesn’t know these iconic characters. Prepare for an awesome marathon!

In the end — together they can accomplish anything!
