SUPERNATURAL Falls to Earth on Bluray!

Can you believe it? SUPERNATURAL is beginning its tenth season on The CW and to celebrate it’s time to add to the library SUPERNATURAL Season 9 on Bluray!

This season opens as dramatically as Season 8 ended as Sam (Jared Padalecki) is dying. Brother Dean (Jensen Ackles) has been praying to angles to save Sam’s life and what he doesn’t know is that Sam is dealing with Death (Julian Richings)!

That’s only the beginning of season 9 as angel Ezekiel (Tahmoh Penikett) stays around to help with the fight. Castiel (Misha Collins) is also in deep as Bartholomew (Adam Harrington) and has to stay one step ahead when Dean forces him to leave.

The struggle continues when Sam and Dean begin to piece together the angels, Metatron’s, and the struggle as Castiel must make a live and death decision about his friends in a finale that will cause a battle of the heavens.

FINAL WORD: Ackles as Dean is such a strong character. The first time I saw Ackles was in 1997 when he played Eric Brady in the NBC soap Days of Our Lives. After stints on other television shows, it would be 2005 when audiences would come to know him as Dean. Portraying this character gives him a chance to explore so many facets of Dean and that’s what keeps fans coming back for more.

Padalecki as Sam came about after several smaller roles in such films as CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN and FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX. Playing Thomas Kinkade in 2008 with Peter O’Toole was another stand out! Padalecki gives the character of Sam such motion and deep caring about his brother. With every season Sam gets better and better with the ability to still throw audiences off when they least expect it.

Collins as Castiel is a combination of emotion. I am never sure how to take his role as it is constantly evolving and changing. That shouldn’t be a surprise as Collins has paid his dues in television appearing on such series as Charmed, Legacy, Monk and one of my favorites Nip/Tuck. This year at San Diego Comic Con International, Collins actually came to the line to say hello to fans after a morning jog. If that wasn’t enough, he came to the disability line with coffee for all those who sorely needed it after being in long lines. It was amazing to witness and be apart of.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment does a fantastic job in bringing Blurays of series like SUPERNATURAL to the home audience. Distributing globally, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment brings content through DVD and VOD to everyone. For more of what they have to offer go to www.warnerbros.com.

Other cast includes: Mark Sheppard as Crowley, Alaina Huffman as Abaddon, Osric Chau as Kevin Tran, Shannon Lucio as April, Tiio Horn as Dorothy, Maya Massar as Wicked Witch, Al Rodrigo as The Colonel, Blake Gibbons as Sonny, Curtis Armstrong as Metatron, Dan Payne as Gadreel, Gil McKinney as Henry Winchester, and Kathrine Ramdeen as Alex.

TUBS OF POPCORN: I give SUPERNATURAL: The Complete Ninth Season four tubs of popcorn out of five. The series was created by writer/producer Eric Kripke with the plot of two brothers hunting demons and dealing with other spiritual and paranormal events. What is most amazing about this series is that it is beginning its 10th season which is a mark for television and The CW.

I personally think the show went into the stratosphere when the cast attended Comic Con International for the first time and each year the crowds on Sunday get bigger for SUPERNATURAL fans. Fans are always thrilled to have a chance to hear what Ackles, Padalecki and Collins have to say about their roles and to ask executive producers Eric Kripke and Robert Sing what is next in the SUPERNATURAL world. Kudos to them because the dedication of these fans is stellar and proud. Personally, I’m a gag reel fan!

The Bluray includes the episodes I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here, Devil May Care, I’m No Angel, Slumber Party, Dog Dean Afternoon, Heaven Can’t Wait, Bad Boys, Rock and a Hard Place, Holy Terror, Road Trip, First Born, Sharp Teeth, The Purge, Captives, #ThinMan, Blade Runners, Mother’s Little Helper, Meta Fiction, Alex Annie Alexis Ann, Bloodlines, King of the Damned, Stairway to Heaven, and Do You Believe in Miracles?

The special features include three episodes commentary, The Men of Letters Interactive Set Experiment, Behind the Scenes of Supernatural: A Fan’s Perspective, 2013 Comic Con Panel with cast and producers, Unaired Scenes and the infamous Gag Reel!

So keep up the Bluray collection of SUPERNATURAL with the complete ninth season now available!

In the end – this season they fall to earth!
