New on DVD from Warner Home Video and Studio4C is the return of the THUNDERCATS.

Returning to audiences for a journey they never could have expected – the mighty menagerie including Lion-O, Panthro and Snarf face betrayal and a hesitant leader.

Prince Lion-O is ascending to the throne but it comes with a price. There are those who will stop at nothing to destroy his rise to the throne.

The Mum-Ra are involved in the fight against the ThunderCats. They must find the Book of Omens and Lion-O’s use of the Sword of Omens to bring new allies into the fight.

With Tygra, Panthro, Cheetara, Wily Kit and Wily Kat, the journey leads them to a legendary temple that holds ancient secrets that will help the ThunderCats defeat their enemy.

FINAL WORD: I have been a ThunderCats fan from their humble beginnings debuting in 1984 based on characters created by Tobin Wolf. The THUNDERCATS logo and DVD sets have made a resurgence in the last few years. Last year Comic-Con’ers received swag bags with the THUNDERCATS logo and I personally witnessed fans clamoring for one! (Yes, I actually am one of them and I love my bag!)

More awesome than that is knowing there will be all new episodes coming soon to Cartoon Network. fans old and new are going to be thrilled beyond reason. The animation is crisp and the cast lends itself to the story line and originality fans love.

Warner Bros. Animation is one of the leading producers of animation with innovations and a team of talented writers, producers and artists. Other series by Warner Bros. Animation are GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, MAD, and Looney Tunes for Cartoon Network.

Starring Will Friedle, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Madeline Hall, Satomi Kohrogi, Matthew Mercer and more including a personal favorite of mine Clancy Brown – this DVD set is a walking INTO memory lane waiting for the new shows with pure fan anticipation.

In the end – it’s Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, THUNDERCATS HO-O-O!
