Shout! Kids Factory and Hasbro Studios are once again bringing iconic characters to DVD with “Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Season One.”

It has been five years since the Predacons and Cybertron is on the mend with new Transformers. Those on Earth don’t even remember the troubles between the Decepticons and the Autobots and mainly because the Transformers stopped going to the planet.

On Cybertron, Bumblebee has become a peacekeeper of the Autobots home planet. That is until he has a vision of Optimus Prime who asks that Bumblebee return to Earth right away. Hardly going alone, Bumblebee enlists Sideswipe and Strongarm to go along.

They find Alchemor, a prison ship that has crashed on Earth. Bumblebee discovers that there are two hundred Decepticon prisoners have escaped. Knowing that their aim is to hurt those on Earth, the Autobots look to Russell and Denny, humans who can help restore order.

But it will take more — the group needs Windblade and Optimus Prime as Megatronus has a plan of his own for Earth and the Autobots!

Hasbro Studios is an iconic brand with some of the best in animation and family programming with “My Little Pony” and “Littlest Pet Shop.” Since its formation in 2009, Hasbro Studios has received seven Daytime Emmy’s!

SHOUT! Factory brings the best to fans offering up feature films, classic television series, animation and specials. For more of what they have to offer go to www.shoutfactory.com.

TUBS OF POPCORN: I give “Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Season One” five tubs of popcorn out of five. There is everything that I enjoy about this animated series and probably because I am a huge Bumblebee fan. Yes, Optimus Prime is pretty cool but come on! Bumblebee is the Autobot that has it all going on — plus he’s funny and cute.

That being said, the Transformers franchise transcends age and geography because I have seen people come from hundreds of miles away to attending San Diego Comic Con International. Fans are excited to experience Transformers face to face, see what new items are available and see who is going to dress up as a Transformer. Some of these costumes are absolutely amazing.

The animated series brings so much to viewers that have come to see the Transformers as a symbol of protective friends who are loyal and even funny. That is important when family’s share an animated series such as “Transformers: Robots in Disguise.”

The DVD includes all 26 episodes and bonus features of the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con International Panel, Featurettes and Animated Shorts which are awesome. There is over nine and a half hours of animated entertainment in this DVD collection and that, in itself, means it’s time to load up fans and friends for a marathon session!

In the end — once again the Autobots prepare to battle for Earth!
