Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton is scheduled to host a Change of Command Ceremony 1:30 p.m. Friday at the 11 Area Parade Field.

Brigadier General Vincent A. Coglianese will relinquish command of Marine Corps Installations West-Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton to Brigadier General John W. Bullard, Jr.

Coglianese has served as Commanding General here for the past two years, acting both as Commanding General for Camp Pendleton, as well as Commanding General for Marine Corps Installations West, in which he had regional authority over five Marine Corps installations in California and Arizona.

During his tenure, MCIWEST and MCB Camp Pendleton merged into a single command with one staff. The command facilitated more than $1 billion in military construction projects, and more than $456 million for building upgrades and maintenance, and achieved 8% renewable energy capacity at Camp Pendleton.

Bullard previously served as Deputy Commander of Regional Command North in Afghanistan and Deputy Commanding General of Marine Corps Combat Development Command. In his career, Bullard deployed to Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm in 1990 and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom on multiple occasions.
