Flippin’ Pizza Restaurants, in conjunction with the Warrior Foundation, a San Diego-based nonprofit that provides services and support to injured veterans, will be providing lunch to several hundred warriors at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) on April 15.

The Flippin’ Pizza truck will be on site for an all-hands “pizza party” serving 200-300 warriors and their families. In addition to the lunch, Flippin’ Pizza will be raffling off gift cards and opportunity drawing items. NMCSD is one of world’s premier military medical centers. In addition to being recognized as an amputee center of excellence, the hospital has achieved national acclaim for many of its clinical and research programs, including refractive surgery, post-traumatic stress, and hearing and balance disorders.

“We are extremely excited for this opportunity to provide lunch for the exceptional men and women of the United States military,” said Patrick Farley, founder of Flippin’ Pizza. “It’s such a privilege to be able to give back to our warriors and their families. We really hope they enjoy this day, and look forward to continued work with the Warrior Foundation.”

Flippin’ Pizza has six locations throughout San Diego County, including Carlsbad, Encinitas, La Costa, San Marcos, Vista and 4S Ranch. For a full listing of addresses and to find the nearest restaurant, please visit www.flippinpizza.com.

For almost a decade, the Warrior Foundation has assisted, honored and supported military men and women who have served the United States in the war against terrorism. The foundation focuses on helping injured military heroes who are assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego, Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital, 32ndStreet Naval Station and 29 Palms, as well as those undergoing rehabilitation in the San Diego area. The Warrior Foundation also has a housing arm, Freedom Station, which provides a temporary residence and supportive recovery environment for injured Marines, Army and Navy as they make the transition from military service to civilian life. Located near NMCSD, Freedom Station is a 12-unit housing facility where warriors reside while they continue to receive medical treatment and prepare for new challenges in the civilian world.
