Former Marine Hosts Clothing Design Contest

Former Marine Jose Estrella recently completed service to his country in the United States Marine Corps. During his years in the Corps, he learned discipline and countless other skills which put him in a positive position financially and mentally.

On June 1, 2012, Jose is opening Famous1s, a men’s urban clothing store at 9465 Black Mountain Road, across from MCAS Miramar in San Diego. He was able to make his dream a reality and now wants to give an up-and-coming clothing designer a chance to make his or her dreams possible.

Starting during Famous1s grand opening from June 1 to 20, the store will be hosting an urban clothing design contest with the winning design being sold at Famous1s and includes future promotion of the clothing line.

“The American dream is alive and well and I am proof of this,” said Jose. “The importance of doing a contest like this is that to too many people have given up on their dreams. I am a strong believer in people getting a chance to change their life and all it takes is that one shot!”

On June 1, 2012, Famous1s opens and will start collecting articles of clothing designed by contestants. The winner will be announced on June 30 at an award ceremony at Famous1s and on www.famous1s.com.

Rules: One clothing item per designer; either a pair of jeans, shirt or accessory is to be dropped off at Famous1s between June 1 and 20. For questions, please email Jose@famous1s.com. For official rules and to register, visit www.famous1s.com.
