Special Opening Night Discounts for Military

CORONADO — Experience the beauty and passion of the music and dance of the world at Nations of San Diego International Dance Festival, Friday, February 10 at 8:00 pm, Saturday, February 11 at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm, and Sunday, February 12 at 2:00 pm at the Coronado Performing Arts Center, 650 D Avenue, Coronado.

Nations welcomes military personnel and their families to opening night on Friday, February 10 at 8:00 pm. Bring your military ID and pay only $10 per ticket for up to five tickets while supplies last. This discount applies only to tickets purchased with cash or check on Friday February 10 (no credit cards please). The box office opens one hour prior to the show. Tickets purchased on the website and with credit cards for any performance are $15 to $30.

Now in year 18, Nations brings traditional dancers from over 15 cultures together in a state-of-the art theater for a weekend of magical performances rarely seen together in one setting. Over 150 dancers and musicians from every continent share dance traditions that transport audiences to exotic lands for a taste of authentic art forms. The 2012 festival will include dancers and musicians representing Brazil, China, India, Mexico, the Middle East, the Philippines, Spain, and many more!

Coronado School of the Arts Foundation is a non-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation whose stakeholders are passionate about supporting Coronado School of the Arts (CoSA). CoSA is a public arts conservatory for students in grades 9-12 that embraces and encourages artistic creativity and academic excellence. This pre-professional arts program reaches out to talented students from all San Diego County, offering a nurturing environment focused on individual growth, opportunity, and diversity. CoSA gives aspiring young artists the opportunity to immerse themselves in daily arts classes in one of the six featured arts conservatories: Classical and Contemporary Dance, Digital Media and Filmmaking, Instrumental Music, Musical Theatre and Drama, Technical Theatre, and Visual Art.
