Photo Video West, the West Coast’s largest educational photo and video show taking place April 27-28, 2013, is pleased to announce the line-up of celebrated industry pros and seminars for its Digital Artistry Workshop Series.

The Digital Artist Workshop Series offers ten one-hour seminars on digital editing topics in photography and videography throughout the two-day event, said Ken Loyst, co-producer of Photo Video West.

“The Digital Artistry Workshop Series is a great resource for photographers and videographers of all levels that want to learn editing techniques and best practices from the pros themselves,” added Loyst. “In addition to these seminars, Photo Video West offers photo and video enthusiasts an opportunity to take in over 30 different seminars on a variety of engaging topics. From concert photography to light styling, there’s a little something for everyone.”

The Digital Artistry Workshop Series spotlights topics on post-production in photography and videography, with seminars on applying Photoshop Adobe Lightroom, skin retouching, altering photos into digital paintings, and more. Seminars are led by such celebrated photographers and videographers as Jack Davis, one of the world’s leading experts on Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom; Stephen Burns, an accomplished Adobe Community Professional; Lee Kohse, a freelance artist working for such clients as Lucasfilm and Dreamworks; and Colin Smith, founder of the popular Photoshop resource website,, to name a few.

Previously known as Photo Expo West, the new-and-improved Photo Video West returns with an added focus on videography, printing, framing, and mobile imaging. Part educational, part expo, attendees of Photo Video West have the opportunity to gain valuable education from the industry’s top professionals, while exploring today’s best brands, watching live interactive demos, and taking advantage of product specials on the showroom floor. Additionally, the show offers portfolio review sessions, allowing photo enthusiasts an opportunity to have their work reviewed by a trained professional on the spot. Photo Video West takes place from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 27 and 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 28. Advance tickets for a one-day pass are $12 per person. For those who want to attend both days, weekend passes are available for $20 per person. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit the Museum of Photography Arts (MOPA) in San Diego.
