2014 is a very special year for the Semper Fi Fund marking 10 Inspiring Years of Service in support of our wounded, critically-ill and injured service members.

Since 2004, the Semper Fi Fund and its program, the America’s Fund has helped more than 12,300 post-9/11 service members and their families with a wide range of assistance totaling more than $96 million. To celebrate this incredible achievement, they’re proud to share ten years of memories captured on film, in a moving new 3-minute video that tells their remarkable story.

The ongoing commitment of the Semper Fi Fund to service members and their families has earned the highest possible ratings: four stars from Charity Navigator and an A+ from CharityWatch. The Semper Fi Fund’s overhead is also extremely low, standing at just 6%; but the real story goes far beyond the numbers.

Through film and images collected over the course of the decade, the Semper Fi Fund’s 10th Anniversary Video celebrates the amazing individuals who make it all possible: the faithful supporters, whose efforts to raise funds and awareness have made an immeasurable difference; staff and volunteers, who have worked tirelessly in support of the Semper Fi Fund; Karen Guenther, the founder of Semper Fi Fund; and the service members and their families, whose journey provides insight into an exceptional level of human resilience and determination that inspires us all–they are the heart and soul of the Semper Fi Fund.

“I am awed and amazed at how far we have come in the past ten years. From the beginning, we pledged to never stop serving those who serve us all, through recovery and beyond; and today, our mission remains the same,” said Guenther. “It’s difficult to find the words to describe what it has meant to be a part of each and every one of their incredible stories these past ten years—which is why we chose to share our own story on film, through the faces and voices of those who have become part of our Semper Fi Fund family.”
