U.S. Marine Corps Honors San Diego Student at Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl

In the upcoming United States Marine Corps’ 4th annual nationally televised Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl (SFAAB) nearly 90 select high school players will be honored in a week full of activities designed to promote leadership and positive life choices. Selected students athletes for the SFAAB exhibit Marine Corps values of honor, courage and commitment, demonstrated by much more than their outstanding athletic ability – they also exemplify youth leadership and are committed to building life skills both on and off the field. Character is the key defining factor in choosing these honorable students, athletes, and gentleman to be the face of the SFAAB.

One such student athlete includes Frank Buncom, a top ranked safety from Saint Augustine High School in San Diego, the grandson to San Diego Chargers Hall of Fame linebacker Frank Buncom II, maintaining a GPA above a 4.0 with plans to study neurology in college – a dream of his since his grandmother passed away from an illness affecting her brain when he was 7.
