The Chargers and USAA recently recognized five service members representing each branch of the military on the field at halftime. Retired U.S. Navy Command Master Chief Dwight Miller and retired U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Major Carl Chin from USAA Military Affairs will present each honored service member with an autographed football signed by Chargers team members.

Lance Corporal Michael F. Lee enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2010 and was meritoriously promoted to Private First Class while in boot camp. He is a graduate of the Marine Occupation Specialty School at the Center of Naval Aviation Technical Training School and is currently stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

Coast Guard Electronics Technician First Class Luis Ortega is a 13- year veteran having previously served four years in the Marines and now nine years in the Coast Guard. Petty Officer Ortega was stationed on the Coast Guard Cutter Hamilton and is currently assigned to Coast Guard Recruiting Office San Diego, CA.

Sergeant Ashley M. Street is a proud third generation U.S. Army Soldier and is stationed at Naval Consolidated Brig Miramar where she serves as a Correctional Officer. One of her greatest accomplishments was becoming a non-commissioned officer and she is proud to serve her country.

Senior Master Sergeant Brian Teets is the Training Director and Air Force Detachment Superintendent for the Navy Consolidated Brig at MCAS Miramar. Sergeant Teets grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and entered the Air Force in March 1992. This 20-year veteran deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

Aviation Structural Mechanic Second Class, Aviation Warfare Specialist Jaime Peters (a native of the Big Island of Hawaii), enlisted in the Navy October 2003. His command assignments include HSL-41 and HSC-21. This nine-year veteran deployed supporting the War in Iraq. His current assignment is Navy Recruiting District San Diego.
