We are soldiers, military wives, mothers, students, entrepreneurs, and we are VETERANS! But we also want to look feminine after we take our uniforms off when we are at dinner, the movies, church, on our jobs or just simply hanging out with our families and loved ones. We are Veteran Fashionistas!

The Veteran Fashionista is an active duty soldier or sailor, who has previously served on active duty or she’s even a military wife! A Veteran Fashionista is Michelle Obama, Hilary Clinton, Laura Bush after all they are all wives of the current or former Commander in Chief! Jill Biden as the wife of the Vice President also qualifies and she has children who have served in the military.

The Veteran Fashionista will continue to focus on current events happening in the fashion industry, locally, regionally and nationally. Via the VF blog, you’ll gain an insight on the latest trends in fashions, updates on your favorite brands, your favorite television fashion shows, celebrity stylists and wonderful fashion related prize giveaways.

The VF blog is the vision of Jackie Thomas, the President of Lauderdale Media who is proud Navy veteran. She has worked with several designers from various reality television shows such as: Project Runway, Project Runway All-Stars, The Fashion Show and All On The Line via the Sundance Channel; where she was also featured with her client Qristyl Frazier of Qristyl Frazier Designs. A plus size designer whose line went on to be sold in various Lane Bryant stores across the country and online.

Some of the designers represented by Lauderdale Media have been featured in the following television, magazines, retail stores or museums: Y&R, Dillards, Lane Bryant, the Smithsonian, Museum of African Art in NYC, Wendy Williams show, Monique Show, BET, Black Enterprise Magazine, Essence, CNN International, BBC, Soap Opera Digest, USA Today, the Africa Channel, Memphis Commercial Appeal, Tom Joyner Show, Today’s Black Women, Centric, Elle Magazine, Black America Web… just to name a few!

The Veteran Fashionista will be partnering with various non-profit organizations and major retailers to bring much needed support and fashion makeovers to all of the very deserving female veterans who have proudly served this country!
