A Leader Among Accredited Online Colleges, Ashworth College Makes the List of 2013 Top Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities

Ashworth College, one of the top accredited online colleges, was recently selected for inclusion in Military Advanced Education’s 6th Annual Guide to Top Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities. This year, 300 institutions made the cut. It is the third consecutive year Ashworth has made the list.

Rob Klapper, President of Ashworth College said, “We’re proud of our ability to provide affordable, accredited online programs to military personnel, military spouses and the veteran community. For 25 years, our mission has been to ensure that our programs meet the needs of anyone wanting to continue their education — especially those with military affiliations.”

Klapper went on to explain that when compared to similar institutions, a military education program from Ashworth was more affordable. “An Ashworth degree program is less than $100 dollars per credit hour, compared to others that push theirs as high as $250 per credit hour. It’s clear that Ashworth College helps military tuition benefits go further.” He also pointed out that Ashworth does not charge for textbooks and other course materials.

From community colleges to nationally known centers of higher learning, MAE’s Annual Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities provides potential students with uniform, pertinent information. Among the attributes considered in evaluating any school’s degree of military friendliness are the quality of its academics, the support it provides to servicemembers, veterans and their families, and the sophistication and effectiveness of its distance learning programs.
