BET Awards 2016 fashion

Yesterday in the City of Angels (Los Angeles) the BET Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater. All the beautiful people were all decked out in the hot sun and showing lots of skin! There were some very colorful outfits to say the least but as per usual some very outlandish outfits as well. The link below will guide you through all the whimsical oddities of fashions at the BET Awards:

The award show was also filled with a few very heartfelt speeches and performances. Most notably for the recent passing of the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali and the purple one himself, Prince. Muhammad’s lovely daughter Laila gave a very warm and touching speech about her father and since his passing I’ve read and seen quite a few documentaries based on his life; he was such an amazing sports icon and humanitarian. Additionally I had the pleasure of seeing Prince in concert many times and every one of the shows I danced my tail off the entire time because each and every show was pretty fantastic!

At one of the shows Shelia E performed as well and she does this thing where she plays with the lights off and all you see are the glowing drum sticks … it was absolutely incredible!

Check your local listings because I’m sure if you missed the BET Awards yesterday it will be rebroadcast. I’m sure all the Prince tributes and speeches have gone viral and can be viewed via your favorite social media exchanges as well. You might want to check out one particular speech though from the very handsome star of “Grey’s Anatomy” Jesse Williams, he received an award for his humanitarian work. His speech was motivational, informative, passionate, and quite thought provoking!

Until next time my Veteran Fashionistas, as always, stay fashionable!
