As I was watching the big game yesterday (Super Bowl), I can’t help but wonder about all the fashions that have been worn all over the Phoenix area during Super Bowl week. I’m sure there have been many celebrity sightings, many fashion mishaps but probably some great fashion pairings as well.

The Sundance Film Festival is underway in Park City, Utah. There are various other fashion shows happening all over the country including New York Fashion Week, though it doesn’t happen for another week or so. It’s also awards season; which means that there’s always a red carpet to stroll down. So far we’ve had the Golden Globes, Kate Hudson was my favorite look from that show. Viola Davis was my favorite look from the SAG Awards. She looked so regal and her acceptance speech as Best Actress in a drama series for How To Get Away With Murder was quite inspiring. To view some of the swanky looks from the SAG, please click on the link below:

SHOE NEWS:
In shoe news we recently lost a legend in the fashion and shoe industry, Vince Camuto. He was the man behind Jessica Simpson’s shoe empire and she noted after his death that she had lost a mentor and a friend. Converse has launched its Andy Warhol Collection and Nike has released a Black History Month Collection which went on sale in mid-January; it will feature 28 various looks, 12 specific styles and 16 pieces of apparel and accessories. Old classics in the line are revamped in black and white prints, including a new spin on fan favorites such as: Air Force 1, LeBron 12, and Kobe 9 Elite: Click on the following link to view the collection:

Justin Timberlake’s William Rast label has signed a five-year licensing deal with Cobbler’s Kitchen. The collection is touted as “couture classic” and will hit some stores statewide and abroad in May.
One last thought about shoes, the link below is a lovely collection of camouflage shoes sold nationwide at various stores and online locations:

FLOTUS REPORT:
FLOTUS (First Lady of the United States) wears a Michael Kors suite to the State of Union Address and made headlines again, but this time because the suit was also seen on CBS’s The Good Wife’s leading actress Julianna Margulies.
