The U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) is the premier provider of ocean transportation to the Department of Defense. We recruit transitioning military, merchant marines, maritime academy graduates, and skilled entry-level candidates to fill our seagoing opportunities.

As part of those recruitment efforts, MSC is hosting a career fair in San Diego Thursday, June 19th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in the EDD San Diego South Metro. Visit MSC’s website for more information on this event and positions with the command.

Current open positions include:
• First Officer
• Second Officer
• First Assistant Engineer
• Second Assistant Engineer
• Unlicensed Junior Engineer
• Deck Engineer Machinist
• Refrigeration Engineer
• Steward Cook

The command operates approximately 110 non-combatant, civilian-crewed ships that replenish U.S. Navy ships, conduct specialized missions, strategically preposition combat cargo at sea around the world and move military cargo and supplies used by deployed U.S. forces and coalition partners. The MSC mission is big. So are the rewards for the CIVMARs who help us complete it.
