Kate Hudson is the next celebrity to jump into the fashion game. She will be designing a capsule collection for Ann Taylor.

When we last met, Nicki Minja and Adam Levine had jumped into the fashion game via Kmart, it seems that once a week someone new has taken the plunge; this week that honor belongs to Oscar nominated actress Kate Hudson. It’s just been announced that she’s going to design a capsule collection for Ann Taylor. This collaboration isn’t that much of a stretch since she is the face of Ann Taylor and this is her third campaign with that brand.

A capsule collection is just a few specific pieces normally ranging between six to ten items, depending on the designer.

This announcement also comes on the hills of her stunning recent red carpet look courtesy of the Golden Globes, were she looked absolutely fabulous in an Alexander McQueen design. I wonder if Rachel Zoe is still her stylist?

Which brings me to Rachel Zoe; she is the new Chief Stylist for Shoe Dazzle! I love shoes! I have a shoe rack on the back of my closet door in my bedroom, two bags of shoes in my closet, one in my living room and some in storage. That’s a little obsessive isn’t it, but you get the point!

I LOVE Shoe Dazzle as well and they have an impressive array of shoes to choose from. But atlas Shoe Dazzle doesn’t just offer shoes anymore, they are now offering style tips for accessories and clothes. Shoe Dazzle was an official shoe sponsor of a fashion event that I produced several years ago in Memphis… MidSouth Fashion Week.

Did you hear that Coach will be offering clothes as well too? I personally have at least six or seven Coach bags and a Coach wallet, so I’m loving this idea! Their line of perfume isn’t bad either so I’ll be keeping my eye out for their new line.

Lastly, I would be remise if I didn’t at least mention how spectacular our lovely First Lady (Michelle Obama) looked at the inauguration earlier this week… that red creation by Jason Wu was simply made for her. She is certainly cemeting his fashion career, not only did she wear his design during the first inauguration but to choose him again is truly unprecedented! Kudos to him!
.
Her new haircut was really tailor made for her face as well and the President seemed very pleased with her and her entire look… they seem very happy!!

Until next time my Veteran Fashionistas, as always, stay fashionable!
