The Camp Pendleton Historical Society will hosts their Annual Fundraiser at the Ranch House (RH) on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 2 pm to 5 pm. The RH is located on the Base of Camp Pendleton.

Admission fees ($50 per person) will support Camp Pendleton historical programs, including preserving and restoring the beautiful R H and the Las Flores Adobe, both part of Rancho Santa Margarita y Las Flores, the once largest cattle ranch in Southern California. The Las Flores Adobe, is an 1860s era Monterey-style hacienda and National Historical Landmark located on the Base of Camp Pendleton. However, because the Las Flores is currently under restoration it will not available for any tours.

However all attendees can take docent led tours of the R H and view the several military vehicles from the Camp Pendleton Mechanized Museum.

Guests and members will listen to a live band, as they part take in on heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar in the beautiful courtyard of the RH. There will also be raffles open to all guests and friends.

Directions to the Ranch House: Enter the Main Gate of Camp Pendleton. If you do not have a DOD decal on your vehicle, please have your driver’s license, car registration and insurance in order to get on the Base. Please remember security checks and vehicle inspections may be in progress and allow some time if this is the case. Continue on Vandegrift Blvd. for about eight miles. The Ranch House (RH) is on the left, past the airfield and Basilone Road. RH address is 1344 Vandegrift Blvd.
