It’s an early Saturday morning, it has rained all night, and looks like the rain could start again.

It’s just after 7:00 a.m., when they start to roll into the parking lot at the Premium Outlet Stores in Carlsbad. First in are two powerful looking Ford Mustangs, followed by a late model BMW, and then an older 911 Porsche. They all park in the southern end of Outlet’s parking lot. If your proud of what you drive, or if you just want to look at others cars and talk to friendly people, this is the place to be.

At 7:30, the main bulk of drivers arrive, and the cars are varied from Audis, Subarus, Mazdas, and Porsches to Mustangs, Corvettes, and Nissans. According to the organizer Richard Robello, while not the original organizer, he stumbled on the gathering of cars back in 2005.

The whole thing started off as a Porsche Carrera club, and overtime turned into it’s current configuration. With over 2200 fans on their Facebook page, the group is open to anyone from Motorcyclist, Truck Drivers, and of course sports cars. Each weekend is different, with as many as 200 cars showing up for the two hour event.

Cars that normally show up are everything from American muscle cars, Japanese tuners, to European exotics. This event is every Saturday from 7-9 a.m., and on occasion, a ride will take place and they will go up to Palomar Mountain, or some other location. So everyone is welcomed, and yes there is a Starbucks right next to the parking lot.
